Fruit rots from the bottom up, where it sits against a solid surface and the air cannot reach. A wire bowl solves that quietly: the fruit rests on thin bars with space underneath, moisture escapes instead of collecting, and a bunch of bananas or a pile of lemons lasts noticeably longer. The frame is powder-coated steel, so it wipes clean and does not absorb juice the way wood or rattan can. Where it earns its place, though, is when it is empty. The bars are bent into a shallow curve that reads as a piece of sculpture on a bare counter rather than an empty container waiting to be filled. There are four shapes, from a wide wave to a deeper round, in matte black or a warm gold, so you can match it to the rest of the kitchen or let it stand out.

Air, not condensation
Fruit sitting on a solid base traps moisture underneath and softens from below. The open frame lets air circulate all the way round, which is the whole reason wire bowls exist.
