Produce spoils faster in water than out of it. A bag of grapes or a bunch of greens left sitting at the bottom of a wet colander sits in the very moisture that speeds up rot, because trapped water softens cell walls and feeds mould long after the tap has been turned off. This organiser separates the two jobs: the base tray raises produce above any water that drains through its slots, so a rinse under the tap can happen right in the fridge container without leaving anything to soak. The slotted lid closes over the top and doubles as a second draining surface, letting the whole thing be flipped or stacked without losing what is inside. The body is moulded from food-grade PP and PET, plastics chosen for fridge use because they hold their shape at low temperatures and do not take on odours the way softer plastics can. A hinged handle folds flat against the side when the container is stacked in a crowded fridge, then locks upright to carry the whole load to the sink and back in one hand. It works equally well as a wash basin at the counter or a storage tub on the shelf, one container doing what used to take a colander and a separate bowl. The lid's centre knob gives a flat edge to grip when lifting straight up.

The internal tray holds fruit and vegetables above the waterline as it drains. Nothing sits in a puddle at the bottom, which is what usually turns crisp produce soft within a day or two.
