Flat sleep masks fail in two places: they press on your eyelids, and they leave a gap beside the nose that lets a stripe of light straight in. This one is moulded rather than flat. Two deep cups sit over the eyes so there is space to blink and no pressure at all, and the bridge is shaped to follow the nose, which is what actually makes a mask dark rather than merely dim. The body is light foam covered in a soft face fabric, and the strap adjusts with a flat buckle that stays out of the way if you sleep on your side. It is the sort of thing that either works completely or not at all, and the difference is almost entirely the nose bridge. Handwash it gently and let it air dry.
